Say hello to your favorite God. In Person.

The Master keeps her mind
always at one with the Tao;
that is what gives her her radiance.

Tao te Ching

Most of the nation is in lock-down.  That means something. To everyone. Not just to those guys over there who seem kinda sketchy anyway. Not just for old people.  It doesn’t skip over you because your stuff is much more important, or even sanctified.

There are a lot of people around the interwebs trying to justify and rationalize the continued church-going happening around the country despite the dangers not only to those in attendance but to every single person with whom they come in contact.

“It’s their faith, they can’t help it!” many say, as if faith is a handicap and they are unable to obey the ‘stay at home’ command because they are physically unable. “They need to worship!”

So please allow me to assist, here.

FELLOWSHIP is what happens at church.

WORSHIP is what happens when you are in quiet contemplation, communing with that still, quiet voice within.

prayaloneIf people feel the need to go to church, it sure as hell isn’t about god. Or worship. Or faith. Because those things to not require a building, a choir, or a collection plate. They are not even assisted much by those things.

So to all those who insist on going to church because they need to worship, let me suggest that on Sunday they take themselves into a quiet room, get on their knees, and reacquaint themselves with the author of all that faith. Because s/he probably misses them.
